What You Should Do

Optional

Link your blogs and websites to
http://www.pnnl.info. Mention both Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory and PNNL. This will raise the search engine ranking of the site and
get greater visibility to the troubling anti-gun owner policies of this
government lab. Do not link to the PNNL website--this would increase their
ranking as well. Write about it on your blogs. Point out
http://www.pnnl.info to your favorite
bloggers.
As an alternative to the 1st and 2nd Amendment issues address the stress the
lax operational security issue with audiences that are not sympathetic to gun
owners.
Distribute the news release to your local
newspapers, radio and television stations.
Call your favorite talk radio hosts.
Contact your Representatives
and
Senators. Be polite but firm. Do not ever threaten or imply
an illegal act. A sample email:
Subject: Anti-gun owner bigotry at Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory.
I recently visited http://www.pnnl.info.
I was shocked to learn a government laboratory would investigate an employee
because they exercised constitutionally guaranteed rights. It is clear
Huffman's advocacy of gun owner rights was the basis of the
investigation and probably his firing. This is not what my tax money
should be spent on. My tax money is to be spent on protecting my
freedoms, not punishing those who exercise those same freedoms in a lawful
manner.
If Battelle does not correct the situation then Battelle should not be
allowed to continue operating PNNL or any other laboratory which receives
government money. Please remember this when voting on appropriations
because I will remember it when I vote.
Contact the
Department of Energy. Be polite but firm. Do not ever
threaten or imply an illegal act. A sample email:

inaction in correcting the situation represents a threat to our
Constitutionally protected rights. I have contacted my representative,
senators, and the DOE. If you do not take corrective action I have asked
them to stop further contracting with Battelle.
